Turn your Delver Lens CSV into a Commander deck
Delver Lens is great at scanning cards. Commandarium picks up where the scanning ends: import the CSV export, pick a commander, and get a complete, legal Commander deck built from your scans — plus a short list of what is still missing.
From Delver Lens scans to a Commander deck in four steps
- Export a CSV from Delver Lens — with the card name, the quantity and the Scryfall ID (how, below).
- Import it into Commandarium. Open Import, choose the file, and every card is matched to its exact printing.
- Pick a commander. The legendary creatures you scanned are offered first, strongest first — or choose any commander you like.
- Get the deck. 99 cards from your collection first, balanced ramp, draw and removal, every rule checked — and the cards you are missing on a shopping list.
How to export a CSV from Delver Lens
- Open your cards in Delver Lens — all of them, or just the list you want to turn into a deck.
- Tap the export icon and choose to create a CSV file.
- Pick the columns. Name and quantity are enough to start. Add the Scryfall ID, foil, condition and language, and every card arrives exactly as you scanned it.
- Save or share the file to a place your browser can open — your files app, a cloud drive, or an e-mail to yourself.
Delver Lens moves its menus around between versions; if a button is not where it is described here, look for Export on the list itself. The separator setting doesn’t matter: comma, semicolon and tab are all read.
Which columns to include
| Column | What it does in Commandarium |
|---|---|
| Name | Required. Names in other languages are matched too. |
| Quantity | How many copies (1 if the column is missing). |
| Scryfall ID | The exact printing you scanned — and with it the right price. The most useful column to add. |
| Edition code + collector number | The alternative to the Scryfall ID: also picks the exact printing. |
| Foil | Foil and nonfoil copies stay separate, each with its own price. |
| Condition, Language | Kept for every copy. |
What happens to your scans
Exact printings
With a Scryfall ID, or an edition code and collector number, every card is the printing you scanned — so its price is the price of your card, foil or not.
Nothing disappears silently
Names that cannot be matched are listed after the import, and names matched only approximately are shown with the card that was picked. Correct a name in the file, import it again with Merge, and the card is in.
Scan more, import again
Scanned a new booster in Delver Lens? Export again and import with Merge: quantities follow the file, nothing is doubled.
Sorted into binders
A Binder column in the file becomes a binder in Commandarium. Without one the cards wait under Unsorted, and Select → All shown → Move to… puts them into a binder in one go.
Prices and value
TCGplayer, Cardmarket or Cardhoarder prices in your currency, and the value of every binder. Collection value
Read in your browser
The file is read on your device; only the card lookups go to Scryfall. Your collection stays on your device unless you sign in to sync it.
Build a Commander deck from your Delver Lens collection
Once the import is done, tap New deck. Above the list of commanders, three choices steer the build:
- Which cards — My cards first fills every slot your scans can fill. My cards + key buys, the default, swaps in a card to buy only where this commander’s decks clearly play something better. Best deck follows EDHREC’s numbers and uses your cards on near ties.
- Bracket — the power level to build for, so the deck fits your table. Brackets explained
- Build from — all binders, or just one.
The finished deck is a legal 100: color identity, singleton and the banned list are checked, the land count follows the curve, and ramp, card draw and removal are counted against the usual ratios. Every card is marked as owned or to buy.

Open CommandariumQuestions
Can I import a .dlens file?
No. A .dlens file is Delver Lens’s own backup format. Export a CSV from Delver Lens instead — it takes a few taps and carries everything Commandarium needs.
Do I need the Scryfall ID column?
No, a name column is enough. Without the Scryfall ID (or the edition code and collector number), Commandarium has to pick a printing for each card, which can put the price off for alternate art and special printings.
My export uses semicolons or tabs. Is that a problem?
No. The separator is detected automatically, and files saved by Excel in an older encoding are read too.
Will importing again double my cards?
Not with Merge: cards you already have take the quantity from the new file, and new cards are added. Use Add only for a file that holds nothing but new cards.
Does Commandarium have a scanner of its own?
Yes, in the browser: the card scanner recognizes the exact printing by its artwork. Your Delver Lens cards and new scans live side by side in one collection.
Is it free?
Yes. Import, deck building, prices and the scanner are free. The optional Plus subscription removes ads and the limit of 5 decks and 5 binders.
