A Magic card scanner that knows the printing

By its artwork
The scanner compares the card’s artwork and frame with every paper printing, so it tells a Commander Masters Sol Ring from a Secret Lair one. When two printings share the same art and frame, the card is flagged so you can pick the set.
Private by design
The camera picture is processed on your device, and the card is looked up there too — in an index of every printing that the app downloads once. No photo is ever uploaded or stored.
Fast in a stack
Live scan takes each card as soon as it is still. Set language, condition, quantity and binder once, and every scanned card gets them.
Tips for a clean scan
- Good, even light. Daylight or a desk lamp from the side works best; avoid a lamp straight above that makes the card shine.
- A contrasting surface. A dark mat for light-bordered cards, a light one for black borders — the scanner finds the card’s edge faster.
- Flat and still. Sleeved cards work; toploaders and heavy glare make it harder.
