How to import your MTG collection into Commandarium
Your collection already lives somewhere — ManaBox, Moxfield, Archidekt or a spreadsheet. Here is how to export it as a CSV and bring it over in a few minutes, without losing printings, foils, conditions or binders.
Every major collection app can export your cards as a CSV file — a spreadsheet as plain text. Find your app below, then continue with importing the CSV. Menu names move around between app updates; if a button is not where it is described, look for Export on your collection (not on a deck).
Export your ManaBox collection as CSV
- Open the Collection tab in ManaBox.
- Open the menu at the top right and export the collection as CSV. For a single binder or list, open it first and use the same menu there.
- Save the file where your browser can reach it — your files app, a cloud drive, or mail it to yourself.
The ManaBox CSV export is the most complete: it carries the Scryfall ID, set code and collector number, foil, language, condition and the binder name, so every card arrives as the exact printing, in the right binder. From the export to a finished deck: ManaBox collection to a Commander deck.
Export your Moxfield collection as CSV
- Sign in on moxfield.com and open your Collection.
- Use the collection’s Export option and download the CSV.
The Moxfield CSV lists each card with its count, set code (the “Edition” column), collector number, condition, language and foil — enough to match every card to its exact printing. Want a single Moxfield deck rather than your collection? Copy the deck as text with Moxfield’s export and paste it into Commandarium’s deck import (Decks → Import deck).
Export your Archidekt collection as CSV
- Sign in on archidekt.com and open your Collection.
- Choose Export. Archidekt lets you pick the columns: include the Scryfall ID (or set code and collector number) together with quantity, foil or finish, condition and language.
- Download the CSV.
Without a Scryfall ID or set code and collector number, Commandarium still finds every card by name — but it has to pick a printing, which can put the price off for alternate art. A single Archidekt deck works the same way: copy it as text and paste it into the deck import.
Deckbox, Delver Lens and other apps
- Deckbox — export your inventory as CSV. Deckbox writes set names rather than set codes, so cards are matched by name; check your alternate-art cards afterwards.
- Delver Lens — export your scans or lists as CSV and include the Scryfall ID column, so every scan keeps its exact printing. Step by step, from the export to a finished deck: Delver Lens CSV to a Commander deck.
- Any other app or spreadsheet — one column named “Name” or “Card Name” is enough. Quantity, set code and collector number are optional but recommended. German column headers are recognized too. With an example file: MTG spreadsheet to a Commander deck.
Import the CSV into Commandarium
- Open Commandarium and go to Import.
- Tap Choose CSV file and pick your export.
- If you already have cards in Commandarium, choose how to combine them: Add, Merge or Replace (see below).
- Wait a moment while every card is matched on Scryfall. Names that could not be matched are listed at the end and skipped; names matched only approximately are listed with the card that was picked, so you can check them.
What is read from the file
| Column | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | Required. Card names in other languages and with special characters are matched too. |
| Quantity | How many copies (1 if missing). |
| Scryfall ID / Set code + Collector number | Picks the exact printing — and with it the right price. |
| Foil | Foil and nonfoil copies stay separate entries with their own price. |
| Language, Condition | Kept per copy, like in ManaBox. |
| Binder / Folder | Becomes a binder in Commandarium. |
| Added | The date a card was added, for sorting by “recently added”. |
| Misprint, Altered, Signed, Proxy | Kept as markers. Proxies are counted but left out of the collection value. |
Importing again later
- Merge — the right choice for an updated export from the same app: cards you already have take the quantity from the file, new cards are added, nothing is doubled.
- Add — for a file with new cards, like a fresh booster box: every card is added on top.
- Replace — start over with the file.
Tips
- Export with set codes and collector numbers whenever your app offers it — only then does every card get its exact printing and price.
- Large collections of several thousand printings are fine; the import stays within Scryfall’s limits and resumes cards it already knows.
- Sign in to keep the collection in sync on your phone and computer, or save a backup file under Settings → Data & backup.
- New cards later? Scan them with the card scanner instead of exporting again.
